GabiFresh, Nadia Aboulhosn, and model Maxey Day Green Posing In Swimsuit Campaign It all started out a year ago with her original post about fatkiny, as she called it, a black and white striped bathing suit from SimplyBe. However, since then the idea of creating swimsuits for plus size girls started to be perceived as a possible collaboration between Gabi and the Swimsuit for All brand. Now we have an awesome funky collection of bathing suits for plus size girls. As Gabi mentioned in the interview with TeenVogue:

A lot of girls are really scared to go to the beach when they feel like they don't have the perfect beach body, so I try to encourage women of all sizes to feel great at any size. Last year's bikini post definitely went more viral than others. That definitely became associated with my brand, and so Swimsuits for All approached me a few months ago to see if I was interested in designing...I thought it was a great opportunity.

Although Gabi doesn't have a background in fashion design, she was aware of the huge gap between the swimming suit trends and the sizes that they are available in. She had various sketches of bathing suits that she liked and would love to see in her size, so the designing collaboration went really easy. As for the inspiration for the designed swimsuit line, Gabi mentioned that she wanted to concentrate on something more cheerful and to challenge the accepted myth that plus size girls prefer darker colors. I keep a rack for all the stuff I'm selling. My shop is closed right now, but will be open again soon! I keep running out of space so sometimes some of my everyday pieces end up on there, too. At least it's all nice to look at.

Catie recently moved to LA to explore the city of her dreams of the San Francisco Bay area and so far she has been really creative about that. She enjoys remodeling pieces that she buys in the stores, as she loves to sew since childhood and has a Singer sewing machine proudly displayed in her apartment. Catie also enjoys her visits to flea markets to find there the old vintage fashion accessories, such as the ladder that is used as shoe storage and the mannequin for furnishing purposes. She is also very artistic and likes to decorate her apartment with her own artworks, that we see leaning against the wall on the dresser. The past weekend was not only about Father’s Day but also it brought about the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival that usually takes place at Great Stage Park on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. The Bonnaroo Festival as any art and music event of this scale attracted lots of curious and interesting people, including those who like to make fashion statements.

Girl In Short And Cowboy Boots The summer mood was definitely quite evident in the outfits of the fashionistas present at the Bonnaroo as there were lots of shorts and mini-dresses. The most prevalent type of shorts was the denim ones, like seen on the girl above. Her high-waist shorts went really good with the midriff-bearing top, don’t you think? However, there was an exclusion from the denim rule as seen on a girl in lace shorts who accompanied her look with awesome cowboy boots.
